Military Toyotas

I dont if you guys ever seen this site, i just found it and i had to share. Apparently american Tacomas, not Hiluxes, have been used in Wars like Afghanistan. These are Tacomas built in Fremont, CA. And they get modified with infrared headlights, and guns. Just read from this site.

We had yotas on the COB in Iraq, just regular trucks. They never went out of the wire. But really who would want a Tacoma in the land of IED's. roots, trees, and rocks eat my body panels bad enough.

toyotas never die and are the toughest of the tough. They are indeed warmachines.

Actually the preferred term is "technicals".

Years back a buddy of mine had an 86 we were going to make a pvc 1:1 model of a Carl Gustav recoiless rifle and mount it to the roll bar... but cooler heads prevailed... he was in the forces and decided he did'nt want to keep getting pulled over by the cops/MPs.
still a cool idea though...

yep we had em in Kobar towers. Used to cruise "death intersection" in them. Ours where bone stock 4x4 's. We used them both on and off base.

Well, if we're wishlisting I want this on my truck. Setup so gun tracks with helmet. And I do want the blue tipped ammo.

We had some pretty bad-ass up-armored Land Cruisers we would roll around in, even outside the wire. I think I have a picture of one somewhere. Pretty sweet rigs.

Isnt the blue-tip ammo practice rounds? or do you just want your gun to look pretty?

brain fart, black, armor piercing, is the color of the day. MRRPs, up armored HMMV's, and don't know what the two are were called. All were heavily armored, but still got defeated with direct hit by the IEDs that use the copper/steel plate drive by a shape charge (the ones Iran never supplied). Forget the acrynium, had a pateint that was in a Bradley that was defeated by one.

I thought the depleted uranium rounds were green tipped... or is teflon black the new preferred round?

those shape charge things your talking about, will pierce 10 inches of armor, they are nasty, the only plus side they have is the possibility of them missing you, when that hot piece of molten metal flies through your cab
