List all tire & wheel combos, reviews if you have any
I have seen this done on other forums, namely the big FJ Cruiser forum I surf.
A thread like this can keep track of what tires and wheels you like, and any reviews you may have on them.
Here is my entry:
285x70x17 Dick Cepek Mountaincats with Pro Comp 17x8 7089 series wheels:
Here is the part # of the wheels I got.
Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy Series 7089
Les Schwab Tires recently added the Dick Cepek Mountaincats to their website.

For my daily driver I like my +1 size Nittos. Hard to beat price and performance for an A/T tire. I can just say I'll never drive on a set of BFGs again unless the vehicle was a weekend warrior then maybe.

15x8.5 Generic Steel wagon wheel (black) w/ 33x12.50" BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A.

Since I have only had these tires a few days I have not had a chance to do much with them.
But so far I was very impressed on the street handling since the tire has such an agressive lug pattern and soft rubber.
On off pavement driving they have been excelent so far, no problems.
In the little bit of mud I had a chance to play in they performed GREAT! Well they should since they are a mud tire, but considering what tire I came from, this is LIGHTyears ahead.
Give me a month or 2 so I can get to use these tire, I will re-post with my thoughts then.

The only off road tire experience I have is with BFG all terrains and mud terrains. 4 sets of them in various sizes over the last 12 years or so.
31x10.5x15 on Old school Enkie (sp) sawblade wheels. Great tires for dirt, mud and rocks. Not the best for sand unless you like digging holes. Kinda spooky in snow and ice (unless you like to drive like a sprint car racer). Wheels suck, bent the crap out of 3 of them. They have very long treadlife for a mud tire, but will get noisy on the road after about 2/3 tread, especially if your allignment is off.
32x11.5x15 BFG Muds On 15x8 Alcoa MT Challenger wheels. Same as above. Could feel a change in on road handling with the change in size. Not as composed in tight corners on pavement. The wheels kick ass. Tough as hell, fairly light and they shine up nice if you wanna play mall cruiser. Sadly, they are out of production (and I am not selling mine).
33x10.5x15 BFG AT KOs on some 15x8 generic aluminum wheels. Came with a truck I just bought. No real off road experience with them yet. On road they are not half bad. I thought a taller, narrower tire then what I am used to would make the rig feel less composed on road. Has not been a problem so far. I am swapping these tires onto my alcoas (Muds are shot). Will let you know how they work off road when I finally get my truck off the jackstands and back in the dirt.

I've had 235/74 R15 Goodyear Wrangler AT's on stock Alloys (when I bought the 4Runner) They were great tires for all kinds of surfaces and weather. But they were too small!
I've had both 31x10.5 R15 &31"x11 R15 Michelin LTX's on the same stock alloy rims. They were good in all weather on the road, but could get stuck on wet flat grass.

Now my current tires are 33"x12.5 R15 Hercules Durango MT's they are a radial tire so the wear on them is very little in 2.5 years. They too are on my stock Alloys. They did chunk for the first while I had them on my truck. They are great in all weather and in all offroad conditions that I've had the truck on/in. (Mud, Rocks, Sand, Swamp, Snow) Almost makes me wish I had gone with the 35's, but then I would have had to regear and lift/trim it to clear. I think for the money $145.oo Canadian per tire they are a great tire... I would be going larger when my 89 4Runner is finished if they had them in a 35 to 37, I guess it'll be Goodyear MTR's.

I'm running 315-75R16 (34.6"x12.4") Mickey Thompson Baja Claws radials on 16x8 AR-23's(4.5" backspacing). The backspacing is really too deep, but since I don't have the body lift to handle shallower wheels these work fine. I still have a good turning radius and tires will stuff inside fenders. These are pretty aggressive, but are quiet and very smooth on the interstate. Off Road, these tires grip really well. They self clean in mud awesome, but wheel speed is a must. I haven't had them in snow yet. They also dig like crazy!!! Which is good and bad!! They are a directional tire, so doing full tire rotations is hard to do unless you demount and swap rims around. They're very distinct and give the truck a unique, aggressive look. All in all, I'm very satisfied with these tires.

'05 Taco: Dean Mud Terrains from Les Schwab-285/75/16 on Ultra 16x8 w/ 4" BS- 2.5" daystar spacer, Rub at times on Front body mount-have removed mudflap and trimmed the inner fender. Tires are a great compromise IMO over an AT and a full blown MT, you can hear yourself think with the windows down..

During the winter I run 285's studded Wildcats MT's on stock TRD rims..rub the UCA like crazy, getting wheel spacers this fall-hum like crazy
--may pull the studs and use them on my '81
The 81 Trekker came with 33x12.5x15 BFG AT's on 15x8 black steelies w/3.5" BS. The BFG AT's have got to be one of the best all around tires for the money...

As the trail truck though I would really like some 35x12.50's Swampers or something like that on 15x10 for the wider track..

But this guy has got the hot set up:
