Let's see your rust repairs! I need motivation.
Long story short...
I bought a camper a few years ago and I'm in the process of going through it and making it as reliable as possible. The camper section itself is in awesome shape but I knew the cab was hiding a few secrets when I bought it.
I just didn't realize how bad it could be....
This doesn't look good
Two cab mounts have rotted away, and a few other spots that need to be cut out. The rear of the cab is in much better shape.
What now?
The plan is to cut out the rusted portions and replace with similar gauge metal. I'd like to swap out the cab but that isn't possible at the moment seeing that I'd like to use the camper this summer.
What is the best way to repair the cab mounts?

Well since I doubt cab mounts that old can be found via the dealer.
I have a 87 4Runner with the same problem.
I just ordered cab mounts for a 2000 Tacoma and made them work.I am sure any of the newer years will work just as well.Energy Suspension bushings as well
I went with new because no matter how careful one is cutting used ones off there is a lot of clean up and prep work.
Then I have been doing this type of work my entire life.
I trust you are able to weld?? Paying someone to do this would get expensive.

My concern is how difficult it will be to replace the cab mounts without pulling the cab off the frame.
Are you planning to post up photos of the process of replacing yours? That would be awesome if you did.

Another great build with some serious repair work to the cab. Cab repair starts around pafe 13, but the entire build is amazing.

Have you replaced them yet? I'd like to see the before/after shots.

I did this about 4 years ago .
I can`t recall what they cost most times if it is my projects I just pay the bill when the statement comes.
The cost was far cheaper then taking the time to build my own from raw materials
I only had to replace the two front ones.
I did this with the body on to make sure things lined up when it was all done.I did make spacers out of steel to get the spacing correct.
As with any job like this the prep work is by far the most time consuming
Always good to have someone on fire watch when welding in that part of the vehicle .
Even with all the combustible material removed stuff can happen.
