Leaf Spring Hardware?

I need to buy some hardware to finish putting my leafs together.
I need some bolted spring claps/keepers (they bolt together at the top instead of clamping the spring down, will let the springs seperate about an inch).
Plus I need some friction pads for between the leafs.

Anyone know where I can buy this stuff?

You can make clamps like that. Take the stock crimped clamps, open them up into a |_| shape then drill a pair of holes in the uprights and use a bolt and length of tubing if needed:

I use graphite paint (Slip Coat) on my leaves and on a few I use some thin discs of UHMW plastic as anti-friction pads, or I re-use the stock pads.

Thanks Roger. I never thought about that.
Maybe it's my eyes but is the keeper bolted to your top spring?

Yes it is, that is for an anti-wrap leaf:

Sure, it works, I use a graphite loaded grease periodically. It'll attract dirt and does need to be reapplied periodically.

UHMW Rollers or Fairlead Hawse

There is a manufacturer of UHMW located in Maine. You can either Google "Garland Manufacturing" or try this.
