kill all tow truck operators
so if some of you may recall, i managed to wreck my second water pump in a month. Canadian Tire is fixing it though because of the 100 day warranty, and they are also paying for the tow. Well, believe it or not, on the way to crappy tire, the dumbass towtruck driver managed to drop my beloved 4runner! So now the rear bumper is fubar'd, and the body is a little dented where the truck landed on the tire carrier, and who knows what else. He was going about 25-30km/h (i was in the tow truck). For those of you from calgary who know what im talking about, we blocked the entire intersection of 16th ave and centre street. it was a terrific situation. anyways, the towing company has agreed to pay for any damages taken to the vehicle. I am going to get the driveline looked at by the yota dealership to see if he didnt screw anything up. oh, and boycott dave's towing from calgary. i dont want the same thing happening to any other yota owner in need of a tow.

Hah, no kidding! heh, so i guess its time for me to ask for reccomendations now. I was thinking of going to one of the yota dealerships to inspect the driveline, but should i get them to do the bodywork as well, or is there somewhere a little better in calgary. im not worried about $$$, cause, well, it aint coming out of my pocket. that dont mean i want to rip em off, but i want it done right.

heh, got that right. they tried to push a third party water pump, (the one that replaced the original broken one was not oem, ive learned my lesson...) but i argued with them that obviously the third party stuff is crap and that i want oem, and they cracked. now im just waiting to drive the gunner. god i miss my truck...

Coachworks autobody is suposed to be real good, but I have never used them. Jack Carter is good. Heninger Toyota is the only dealer in town with hteir own body shop. Call Stampede toyota & ask which shop they use, my dad used it & it was good as well.

by all means, get your rig to a toy stealer and have them go over it with a fine toothed comb. dont let c/t remove any parts until you have it inspected by a toyota tech, let them rule in or out what caused the failure.
good luck and keep us posted.
