Interior Makeovers, All years

Anyone have picks/sources on there interior rebuilds. Most of the 80's trucks you can't get any factory stuff anymore, I am thinking about mild to wild, such as custom dash and instrument backgrounds, trim panels, upholstery and more. I am thinking about converting my old 88 truck to a more modern interior and using black as my main color.

I replaced most of my interior with better used parts out of other trucks. Craigslist, this site and others like it. If you're going for stock. I found a dash in perfect condition, uncut radio bezel, nice steering wheel etc. Put later model bucket seats in. It's all out there.

If you're looking to go completely custom, learn how to weld or fiberglass...

This is on my long term list - I want to fab an aluminum console to replce the current one (the plastic from below the heater controls to the bottom of the shifter where the rear window controls are).....but I suck at fabwork.

I was able to swap my seats completely since my pasesnger SSR5 seat was pretty much mint -see my sig for link to the DIY with PICS.

Ok here's a question regarding dash! I found a new bezel for the dash that goes around radio area for way cheap on eBay, there is tons of dash pads as well to replace the old cracked ones! Anyway after purchasing it I noticed it has the ac setup on it and it's completely different than mine w/o ac. What will it take to swap these out it seems the whole unit is different lever for blower as opposed to a knob etc. Any help would be appreciated I am also looking to put ac in the truck so I'm sure I need this bezel but not sure what else has to be replaced!

Up to what year of seats can you swap into an 86 runner? I ask because mine are only so so. And the ones I find in salvage yards from that year arent much better.

I have an interior question: I am in the process of restoring my 82. New carpet, paint, bucket seats etc. I want to keep things stock including the radio. I would, however, like to put an aftermarket radio cd player in the rig. Are there any ideas where to put it or any links? thanks

I like and have seen the glove box when closed still looks stock when opened it the radio, however it does take the storage of glove box away!! Is your 82 with or without ac if with and you need a new dash bezel around the radio, heater controls, let me know I bought one and can't use it as mine is NO AC!!

I got mine in excellent condition. The PO never modified a thing in this truck. It is like the day it rolled off the line just a little dirty and slightly faded.
thanks though.
