Totally opposite from my latest craig'slist dealing.

I saw an add for some stock Tacoma wheels with tires for a reasonable price, so I e-mailed the dude to tell him I am interested, I have cash and don't play games. Great he says, but actually the wheels are still on the truck.(?) OK, so he says he is going to get his new wheels and tires mounted in the next day or two and he will let me know when I can come pick up the old ones. He has my e-mail and my cell #, but I haven't heard squat in almost two weeks now. I e-mailed him once, but decided I'm not gonna chase him around trying to buy his stuff. I'm sure he got a better offer, and just isn't man enough to tell me. Oh, well it was a deal, but nothing earth shattering. If he calls me now, I'm just gonna tell him to get bent.

That website has been nothing but good to me. I've sold and bought my last three vehicles off of there. I also traded 2 engines through it. Congrats on your new wheels and tires.

So what's the price on scrap aluminum these days? Those wheels each weigh 22-25lbs, I think it's close to .75 - $1/lb - I'd say you scored. (not saying you should sell them for scrap, just pointing out the very least they are worth)

nicely done

right time and right place

I just scored maybe 5 tons of rock and gravel for free but of course had to go and shovel it and transport it. Still can not complain for free. I lost track counting the number of loads to move it, a Tundra woulda been nice for a few weeks there.....
