1986 4Runner SR5 4x4 odometer reads 276,xxx miles but I drove it without the cluster hooked up for a good 1,500 miles so it should be around 278,000

89 2wd W/22RE 295,xxx (head just took a crap. First time the engine's been opened aside from reg maint.)

92 2wd W/22RE 262,xxx (Just popped head gasket and rear EGR crossover gasket. Head and deck was flat, no other problems. Repaired gasket, pased smog with NO problem!! Then the clutch died, probably because the smog dyno. Then Swapped to a 1996 Corvette Grand sport LT4 W/6-Speed trans. WINNING!)

Your Speedo MAY say 84K, but depending on how long your truck's had the wrong size tires on it, you REALLY have 95,015 miles.. (95,015 miles is figured by multiplying your base mileage by 12% that your speedo's off.) If it was lets say, off half the time because you changed to a smaller tire at around 42K, you REALLY have 89,874 miles. Still low miles, but not accurate. LOL

I got the truck at 81,700 and is now at 85,000. That is a 3,300 mile difference. Multiply that by 12% and you get 3,696-3300=an extra 396 miles. So yes, I technically have 85,[396] miles

And I take that difference into account when I do oil changes. Instead of every 5000 miles (per odo) I change it about every 4,400.
