Hilux 2L

This is my first time posting on this forum but I have a simple question.
I own a 1984 toyota hilux 2l. Yes its rare.
Is there a way I can figure out how rare though? Like number produced in the US and how many are still registered.
A little info on my ride. It has a completely rebuilt engine, new injector pump, new injectors, new glow plugs, new block heater, and a few other things. Most parts had to come from canada to because US dealers no NOTHING about this truck.
It is a little slow, but it always, and i mean always, gets 30 mpg.
Any answer to my question would be awesome. Thank you

Ive never seen any production numbers. They are pretty rare, but not THAT rare. I see a few on craigslist every couple of months.

Very common vehicle actually. At least here in canada. Yours was most likely a canadian vehicle brought into the states, don't think they made any diesel trucks in USA
