Well, use 10% ethenol gas and shake it around a lot, then empty it. There is also cleaning stuff you can buy. Same thing happened to my car when I first bought it and I ended up replacing my gas tank.

I haven't read all the replies but have you checked for a vaccuum leak by spraying carb cleaner around your intake while its running to see if anything changes?

Sounds like the carb to me

You did not say if this is injected or carborated. However, it sound like the accelerator pump is bad. That is the classic symptom.

Start with the timing. If you changed the cap and rotor like you said, you should start here.

well we're gonna try and drop the gas tank and clean it, then replace the fuel pump and prolly the filter too and see if that works. I know it's a fuel dilevery problem bc it'll run off of thorttle body cleaner or startin fluid.

Thats good to know that you fixed it

Only problem for me now is that i just bought new OEM vacuum hoses from this site http://toyotapartszone.com but the only problem is that my car is still a little shaky. I assume its electrical currents not flowing correctly. Any suggestions

Might make sure the TPS IDL-E2 setting is connect, if not you'll have a rough idle:

I may be completely off base but I had a 79 cutlass that did the same thing and it was just due to a fowled spark plug.
