In the Ditch, DEEP!

In the Ditch, DEEP!
sorry no pics, I didn't have a camera with me.
I took a long weekend and went up to Boyne Mountain, Michigan to ski with some friends. Sunday I decided I wanted to ski up at Nubs Nob, which is about 20 miles north of Boyne Mountain. On Boyne mountain road, right in front of the main lodge, about a mile from our condo, a 30 ish woman was driving in the oncoming lane in her red tempo. As I came around the wide sweeping left turn, she comes into my lane. we were both doing about 45. Because of her proximity to me and the road conditions, I was unable to go into her lane, so instead of headoning her and running her car over, I swerved to my right and into a six foot deep ditch. I land softly as there is about 5 feet of snow in the ditch. I turn around to see if she was ok. she just kept driving like nothing happened. I try to open my door to see how stuck I am. but I couldnt open my door, so I opened my window. I was surprised to see that I was buried half way up my door. I climbed out the window to inspect for damage. none was to be found. I went around the back to see If I had just pushed the snow, but I had not. underneath the truck the snow was packed solid up under the frame rails.
I pulled my shovel out of the bed, and began to dig out. in this time about 30 cars went by without so much as slowing down. after 40 minutes of digging I tried to move my truck. I put it in 4lo and locked the rear. I started to rock it, but it only packed the snow down more, and I began to get stuck deeper.
I am a member of AAA so I figured I would just call them. as I was digging though my center console for my cellphone charger, my cell had died. A kid in his dads F350 super duty stopped. This was the only person to stop in the entire time I had been stuck. He asked if I needed any help getting out. of course I said yes. I got my tow strap out, and we ran it from my receiver to his. while we were doing this, Boyne mtn security decided to show up in their F250 to yell at the guy who was helping me for blocking the road. I yelled at them and they left. in about 10 sec of being pulled backwards I was back on the road. We disconnected the tow strap. I thanked him, gave him a $20 bill. and drove the last mile back to my cabin.
he also complemented me on my truck

Bummer to hear of your misfortune. People probably saw your modded truck and figured you for someone thinking they were cool in their 4WD and slid off the road..
At least somebody finally stopped to help you though and they weren't driving a heep.....

It's karma, you must've done something good recently. Sometimes the least likely people will give you a break.
I helped my mechanic out with his 'parts computer' problem a while back for no charge. Just this past Sunday, the water pump went out on my 4Runner and I needed transportation back ASAP. He put it at the forefront and finished it all for me today, and did the timing belt at no charge as well.

I did sorta the opposite as you. I was going down this extremely icy road at the hill. Before I knew it ahead of me was an open gate, but the truck had decided to slide... I knew that I couldn't shoot the gap, but right next to the gate was a huge snowpile from where the road was plowed. I ended up hitting that thing going way too quick... I managed to get the truck at about a 30 someodd degree. My roommate who was riding shotgun looks at me and says theres no way in hell I'm getting out. I laugh, drop it in 4low, rock it twice and I'm out. The front air dam plastic thinger is a little type r'd now (read: bent) but other than that and snow getting packed into the front end, it was all good.
