Deer rams Yota

A deer came off of a high bank tonight and slammed my truck. Yep, the deer hit me ! The fender, door, and rocker panel are toast. I was only doing about 25 and I never even see it and to add insult it didn't die and I didn't get any tenderloin for my trouble. It has only been about 2 weeks since I cleared all of the CELs and had it running like a real truck.

That really sucks man!
Reminds me of my buddy in highschool...deer ran out in front of him so he stopped...and bam! Another deer ran into the side of his rig taking out the fender, hood and door. The deers head bounced of the front window and chipped it too...and didn't kill the deer either. The worst part was only about two weeks prior he and his dad just finished restoring his 83 4x4 yota, brand new paint and everything. Needless to say he wasn't very happy with the deer

Well that really sucks but, at least it wasn't a moose! I've seen a yota pickup totally written off because it got attacked by a 1400lb moose...not pretty but at least we got some good meat out of it.

I'll be headed out in the morning to get a door off of a "cash for clunkers" at the salvage yard. I was needing the power steering pump pulley anyways.

I went to the salvage yard today and the almost intact pickup that was there last week that I had been getting parts from looked like vultures had picked it clean. The doors were gone and the fenders were rusty, but the PS pump pulley was laying in the seat and I didn't even have to get my tools out.

I was driving on a mountain road on a hillside. a deer jumped from the high side of the cliff and I lands face first on the hood of my buddy's Subaru I was driving. It then bounces off the hood and flies off the other side of the road never hitting the road. Leaving a quarter sized nick in the hood. That was a serious WTF moment.

My '85 got nailed in the passenger side door by a deer in Utah about 7 years ago. Out in wide open country in broad daylight, had one jump across about 100 ft. in front of me, then out of nowhere there was a thud as the 2nd one came out of the ditch and right into the side. About 10 miles up the road was a Deer Crossing sign, guess those two could not read
