Well, I painted them using the gray rustoleum hammered finish. They came out much more silver than gray, in fact it is almost an exact paint match to the body paint. It still looks good, but now I need to decide to put a coat of the duplicolor wheel paint that will for sure match my wheels or should I leave it the way it is? Right now it has one coat of rustoleum red primer and two coats of the grey. The "grey" came out way lighter than the cap showed.

here are the pics:

Thanks for all the responses so far. Now let me know what you think:
A: Keep it how they are now
B: Match wheel paint (This paint is actually a little cheaper than the rustoleum)

C: Black

nah, im not in love w/ the current silver. looks too shiny. id say either match the wheel color or go black (which is my preference). black is traditionally trim color and if you ever have to put mudflaps on, i think the color would be black and would then match the slider colors

I agree with Bob after seeing the pictures, i think it would look good black. Then go with some nice bushwhacker fender flares...

Well, since this is my still my wife's dd, she wanted me to try to match the wheels before going to black. They turned out a little darker than the pics show and I got a big from the wife! Here are the pics: the first show the first attempt and the second show the matched wheels

First attempt (too light and shiny)

Matched wheels:

For all you that voted black, there is a good chance that they will change to black when I get different bumpers. Thanks again for all the responses!

That looks good.
I would probably paint the bumpers the same.

has a nice contrast to the silver on the rig.

They will be welded on, hopefully I can find someone this weekend. I really need to learn how to weld! I will post pics once they are welded.

It has been cool being able to get everyone's input. I really wanted to go for something a little different and minimalistic. We shall see how I like them once they are welded up. There is more of a contrast than the pic shows, plus I took an extra 2 min. and touched up the rock rash on the rims.

We shall see what happens once I get front and rear bumpers. It will probably be awhile, I really need to regear and get locked. Again, thanks for all the input.

Chris,
The sliders look great! I just finished painting up my sliders too! I went w/ the Black Rust. Hammerlite. Also, I loved how your wheels looked and painted my wheels before having the 32s mounted. Both the sliders and wheels painted makes the truck look much better. Will post pics once I can get my gf's camera to download the pics.
