Which color to paint sliders?
I just received my sliders in the mail and am prepping them for paint. I have painted rims "graphite" is the color I think. It is a toss up between black or match my rims. Eventually I will have new front and rear bumpers. I will cross that road when I get them. Thanks to my wonderful wife's photochop skills, I can see what you guys think. Oh yeah, they are Stubbs ultimate SKO sliders. These sliders are awesome and Richard is even cooler than I had heard. Anyways on to the pics.
As it sits, no sliders:

Black sliders:

Grey/Silver/Graphite:

Let me know what you guys think. I already have them primered and ready to paint tomorrow. Thanks!

I originally painted my sliders with "black" (cool looking metallic black/gray) Hammerite paint. I thought it was durable enough to use on my sliders and hitch, I have since switched to plain old Rustoleom gloss black for the sliders and soon for the hitch. It's easy to find anywhere, cheap and always covers nicely. I guess what I'm getting at is use something that you can slam a rock into and put a hi-lift on and not wince. Black is my vote and I think it contrasts nicely.

slosurfer,
From a cosmetic standpoint, the graphite gray paint on the sliders looks REALLY good - as it compliments the stellar job you did on your rims (I think you've done the best spray can wheel paint job I've ever seen!). But I can see from a practical standpoint, that a more durable paint that you would be hard-pressed to tell when you had to touch it up, would be more ideal for a part whose sole purpose is to eat rocks and protect your body panels. Again, huge props on your wheel paint job - looks GREAT! And kudos to your wife for her Photoshop skills...Luck-y! GOSH!

chris,
i used hammerite brand black which is more of a graphite dark grey. i didnt like it. so i used semi-gloss black rustoleum. looks better. and practically speaking, black is black, regardless of brand. you might not find that 100% true with different brankds of graphite paint . so my vote from a practicality standpoint is black.

Hey Chris,
The sliders are nice addition to your truck. I just recently bought TG Sliderz and painted them w/ Rust-oleum Hammered Black paint. It comes out looking pretty nice. I also just painted my wheels the same color. Overall it looks great.
I think since you have your wheels painted already "graphite" then just paint the sliders the same. Either way both colors will look great!
Hope to make it upto your area soon to do some wheeling w/ you. Post pics once you have it all finished.

Everyone paints sliders black. Be different.
Scratches would be less noticeable too.
Theres only one color rig that i think would look good with silver/gray/graphite sliders and thats on a silver/gray/graphite rig.

Thanks for all the responses. both colors are rustoleum spraypaint and are readily available, so touch ups are not going to be a problem. Plus I always buy an extra can if it is something that will need to be touched up later.
For the morning crowd, before I start painting them.
