Co2 blast around the intake

i see no point in injecting co2 into the engine as it doesn't burn or does it?

anyone thought or done some sort of mod to blast the intake pipe with c02 ? not into it making some sort of ring to cool it what im getting at is just lowering the temps of the intake going over the rad already read about the battery swap but i already have the co2 and parts sitting around

something similar to the cry02 system

thought about the same thing, just with an intercooler and a turbo, kinda like a reverse ac system, instead of the condenser heating up, make it the part thats cold and itll cool the intercooler

It would be a whole lot of work for little to no gain at all. Your better off doing the battery and intake swap.

You are onto something I just sold a SVT Lightning and a lot of the Lightning ownes use a product called the "Killer Chiller" it uses the AC lines and routes the freeon through a cooling plate. The water to air intercooler fluid is also routed through the same cooling plate lowering the intercooler fluid temps. This reduces the AIT's a lot!!!

The kits are very exspensive, but I was able to build my own kit for about $100.00

I also have used kits like the OP is talking about on turbo cars that spray the co2 onto the air to air intercooler. The problem with co2 is that it needs to be vented from the tank to cool whatever you are trying to cool. There is no way that I know of to use the co2 without venting it to the atmosphere.

One could use a small water to air intercooler inline with the intake to lower the IAT's but on a NA vehicle the gains are minimal to a forced fed vehicle.

Your best bet is actually a water/meth injection system. I ran a custom Devils own meth injection system on my Lightning and every other turbo vehicle that I have owned I installed a water injection system and they are amazing. I am going to install a water/meth kit on the 4Runner down the road

I love these types of ideas so keep them coming.

Chris
