Bullet Mufflers???
Building some new exhaust to work with all the stuff that has been cut and replaced. Space is TIGHT, but the truck still needs to drive and ride on the road. I have a cat, crossover and now about 2 straightish 12-18 inch runs for mufflers. Problem is I am without much vertical space.
Anyone have real mufflers that are shortish, tubular and sound all right?
It is on a 3.4 with Downey's in a mandrel bent system.
Part numbers to start with would be helpful. I will not run Glasspacks!
Thanks.

Here is what i used to have, except it was the 6inch. The orginal downey fell off, and i bought a 6 inch round from magnaflow. It sounded okay. With a 4banger, its was a little high pitched, with the 6, it sould sound good. It will be kinda loud. I didn't like the noise, so i got a regular one from bud.
these have 4 inch diameter, 14 inch body, and 3 inch inlet and outlet. Total is 20 inches, but you can cut off all but a small lip if you are going to weld them. I haven't seen much thats less diameter.
Personally, i'd recomend buds. Good service, and they know just about every muffler there is. They should be able to take care of you.

There is a couple different options to go with. Like axleike posted magnaflow has some round mufflers and magnapacks, flowmaster makes some bullet mufflers and the single chambers have a low clearence. How much clearence do you have to work with from the pipe up?

Got two shorty Magnaflows, going to cram them in tonight or tomorrow. Straight through with 4" round OD and 14" of body this thing should scream.
We are the local shop, I am building this at work. Just not the local exhaust shop.
