Bosch Plat. Plugs +4
#1
My Tacoma is a 2001 4x4 with 405,000kms. It is an awesome truck and I take care of it the best that I can. A few days ago I started hearing a ticking noise from the pass side of the engine. I assumed that it was a stuck lifter. I checked the oil level and added about a cup of oil (Amsoil). Of course no change. I suspected that it might be an injector going bad. However, I had installed Bosch Platinum Plugs about 15,000kms ago, the second set I might add, and so I decided to check them. I started near the noise and it turned out that the middle plug had started to come apart!! The ceramic was loose and the chrome screwcap had come off and it had started to do some blow-by as was evident on the valve cover!! I put a new one in and everything is fine. Phew, I thought that I was in for some expensive internal work!! Anyone else have this type of problem with Bosch Plat plugs?
Thanks, Robin

they are garbage. and so is anything else with more than one electrode, but especially bosch. even the conventional bosch plugs suck. stick with the factory plug and you will get the best performance for the money.

Local toyota expert here(in Orangeville, Ontario) recommends factory plugs and wires for best performance. Problem is they cost like $400 for a both. If they don't make any difference, you can't return them.
