2JZ-GTE and the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE. Both of these are so overbuilt its astounding. Even the naturally aspirated version has forged internals and can make 600+hp with a turbocharger mounted on it.

IMO the 2f striaght 6. Low RPM tractor engine. Mine has 252K, runs great. Have heard of the ol' tractor motors going for over 500K. But the 22r is right there with it in terms of going the distance.

i would say the 1kz not the 1kzte. mechanically injected turbo diesel, no electronics and can run without batteries with removal of stop solonoid. not to mention flexibility to fuels u can.

stupid those things leak oil every where and throw rods blow headgaskets and probabley more there fun to tinker with but you can't compare that to a toyota motor its probably because you are an incompitant mechanic

The 22re is legendary in its indestrucibility, but it just doesnt have enough power.

To me, the 5vzfe 3.4 V6 is the best. Its track record and indestructibility are not as good as the 22re, and its not as easy to work on (twin ground plugs, regulators make plug changes painful and more expensive). The engine is still pretty durable though. The cast iron block is bullet proof, and never overheats, even under high stress. Also the engine, for its size, has great power. 190hp and 220 torque. Torque is available throughout the power band, and moves my 6000lb T100 no problem. Its spins the tires effortlessly, and i can pass people easily. Also, it is very efficent. I average 14 mpg in a Fullsize, Automatic, 4x4 truck around town with the AC on full blast. Its so torquey, i can tow just about, and carry just about as much as a fullsize v8. (imagine how much you could tow with a Hilux or Pickup with that kinda power, as well as how great the performance increasment would be, you wouldnt have to struggle to go up hills ).

I love the 22re, its a great motor, but overall, i think the 3.4L is better.

1. 1uz/2uz/3uz 2. 2jz 3. 3rz 4. 5vzfe. The UZ have good power and sound fantastic being 4v and i have seen several well over 600k miles with nothing done besides t-belt and water pump. Everyone knows about the 2j its the king of the import mod motors. 3rz is updated and imporved 22re.

Smile What about the 3RZFE 2.7

I really like the 3RZFE 2.7 150 HP just about the same power as the 3.0 and 3.4 V6. Will out run the V6 every time because of the weight difference. I have 190,000 miles on the clock and she still is strong. Just did a compression check and got 204,204,204,and 203. Read that anything over 180 is good and no lower than 123. Also should not be over 11 to 12 between cylinders. Still running same automatic transmission A340E. Anyone else agree with the 3RZFE being one of the best engines. I feel that there are many good engines but if only one could be picked just lasting the longest should not be the only factor power for the size and weight is important too. Just though my old truck should be considered since it has been such a good engine to me. We may never know which is the best so many good engine can surely make someone feel strong that there engine is the best.
