im looking to remove my old plastic toyota bedliner. im thinking about getting a spray on bedliner put on. does anyone know how much it would cost??
what about rool-on bed liners? are they any good?

 

roll on's are not as good imo...about 350 - 400 to do yur truck most places for a spray in

 

Don't know for sure, but I think spray ons are about $400.00 and up. You might want to shop around to see what the prices are in your area. Just like everything else, there are differences in who does it. I would have mine done at a place that does it exclusively, and not a place that just does it on the side. That way you can be somewhat confident they know what they are doing. Also, if the place that does it says they cannot do over the rail bed liners, they probably aren't that good IMO. Mine came with a spray on from the previous owner and I like it.

I would not be confident in my abilities to do a roll on job, but I have read that some have had good luck with it.

I did a roll on bed liner in my old Jeep. Used Herculiner and couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
The trick with these roll on bed liners is prep work. You have to put in the time to prep the floors or bed properly. If you don't it comes out like arse.

I've got 3 vehicles to do this year should it ever get warm enough. 1 is my Toyota's interior (which I'll take pics and post about). The other 2 are Jeeps, one is my gf's and the other belongs to a friend.

I agree with the above, Hurculiner all the way. $89.99 for a gallon.
I can't justify paying $$$$ for Line-X or Line-X style spray ons when I can get almost identical results with Hurculiner. Hurculiner doesn't have as smooth a texture as line-X but that could probably be changed depending on how you apply it. The hardest part is the prep work. It is worth it though.
Nothing makes you feel more satisfied than doing something yourself.

 

Personally I like the texture of the Herculiner, things don't slide around as easily.

You can thin it though so it won't be as texturized.
