army green paint

Hey guys, just wondering if anybody on here has painted their truck an army green with cans. I was hoping to paint my truck a solid flat paintjob with cans and really liked the army green color but went to look for the name of it and there was like 5 different ones. So now my question, is there anybody on here who has done this using paint that can be bought at either walmart or o'reileys, kragen, etc.? and if so, can I see some pics of how the color came out?

The green in this picture is kinda what I was going for but as a solid paintjob. If your green isn't this exact green or even a little close, but you bought your spray paint at either walmart or o'reileys, kragen, etc. still post your pics cause i'm not dead set on this green and am open for ideas.

Yup, I'd say Olive Drab is what you want, that's a nice military look (make sure it's flat, not semi gloss or gloss).

You want krylon camo paint system if you can find it, the color is olive drab. But its rattle cans

its a bit more costly but brownells carrys a full line of camo colr paints if you wanna do a rattle can job: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...le=CAMO+PAINTS

These paints are even better, they are epoxy based and you can order special tips that include a fan style tip. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/sto...UMA-HYDE%7e+II

If your gonna paint the truck though, do it in your garage and build a booth out of painters plastic tarp.

I did mine, here's another pic. I used the Wal-Mart cans of Krylon. Cheap, easy, tactical...

Alright thanks guys, so OD Green it is. Anybody know if this color is sold at walmart or o'reileys? (2 closest to me) or what about kragen or autozone? (45 minute drive)

And yea CJM, i'll be setting up my own little body shop inside my garage. As for those 2 paints, i'd rather paint it with something I can find locally so I can easily go grab another can anytime I need it.

Here's mine. Not as dark as I had hopes, but after one of these are stencilled on

it should be more of what I'm looking for.... (one of the first two not the 3rd)
Painted in the back yard with a siphon feed and my compressor...

No worries, I happen to like that epoxy based paint, more resistent to chipping and HD basically. Whatever you do if you make your garage a both, wear breathing protection!
