Never heard of him...There are better builders out there, but don't know what you are wanting to spend?

was a dd then the old 22re blew a rod. i have a new block bored, stil need a new head, camshaft, crankshaft (old one needs turned @200) got a eb master kit, pistons etc. it's just those last 3 big ones stopping me from finishing the build. (income sux at the moment) but for 600 i figured i could throw in a rebuild till i get my new engine built.

like i said having to drive my car is getting expensive. gotta use mid or prem grade

just wondering if anybody in the nc area has heard of those guys

The name of the place is Harringtons engine rebuilding. I am going to call them this week. They offer a 2 year/24000 mile warranty.

They are two different people. Harrington told me $1300 to rebuild my 22re. Includes installation, new oil and water pump, resurface head, and timing chain set. I think he said they use melling oil pumps? I think they are supposed to be pretty good.

I would run, not walk away from these guys. The warranty they give you is not worth the paper it is written on. I have had nothing but problems with my truck since they replaced the engine. Has had a knock in the engine and has leaked oil since I picked it up and they have done nothing absolutely nothing but waste my time since. These guys talk a great game until they get your money.....they are crooks.

Thanks for the input on these guys. Glad I didn't get involved with em I did a pretty good bit of research myself and with Yota Tech forum and all of the great people on here i was able to repair my engine on my own using OEM parts and because I did the work that helped with the $ I spent to get OEM parts again thanks hope you are able to get your truck straightened out

What is ironic is that they really sell you on their "2 year/24,000 mile warranty and how nobody else has a 2 year warranty, yet they do absolutely nothing to stand behind what they do. I found out that they were actually using my truck while it was in their shop this last time. Hard to believe crooks like this are still doing business. I wish I would have known then what I know now. Now I have to take them through the court system to try to get what I paid for.
