Along with many other "projects" I wanted to do to my 87 was to improve my terribly worn out rear suspension. Riding on the overloads got old (and hard on my back) so after researching it on the forums I decided to "Zuk-it". The recommendation from the MAN himself was, as I had already deduced through the forums, 14" 100psi coils for my 87 4x4 xtra cab pickup. The out come far surpasses anything I had read about this mod. The ride is superb, the handling better, the cornering safer and load carrying has been reestablished! I wont go into detail about how to do the mod since it is well documented on other threads but I will tell you that with 2 jacks, 2 jackstands, some blocks, an angle grinder and a porta-power it took all of 45 minutes to complete. Here's some pics to give you an idea:

All in all, it is by far the best mod for the money you can do to help out your sagging Yota!

Hey did you need a spring compressor to jam those 14"ers in there or did you just use a bottle jack to spread the frame/leaf spring? I'm going to be doing mine this weekend probably but I'm using 200lb springs because I haul a lot of firewood.

Badfish: I didn't need a spring compressor, I just used a porta-power (or you could use a bottle jack) once the wheel was off to spread the frame/axle. BE AWARE...... disconnect the shocks first and watch your lines/hoses when doing this so you dont run into any problems.
Cutting the frame bump-stop at 1" from the bottom of the frame SOUNDS like its too short but trust me, it works great. Once I had the spring started in the space between them I just let off the porta-power and used a punch/hammer to tap the top of the spring up against the frame bottom.
