should the surface be free of all wax OR a good ploish and wax before install??

I can anyone the 3M film precut for your vehicle. My best friend now does this full time and can cut any kit for any vehicle. There is also special thicker film for the headlights.

Paint must be clean. No wax, no nothing. I used autobody shop dewaxer, sometimes a quick wipe with a soft cloth only damp with lacquer thinner, then washed it, final wipe with alcohol-soaked rag, wiping right after with clean towel i.e. don't let it dry, wipe it off whie wet to pick up anything the alcohol loosens, just to be sure. SCritchy squeaky clean.

Rock Blocker

I put the 3M film from rockblocker.com on myself about 6 months ago. I love the stuff. One problem, I hit a deer about 4 months ago so my bumper was replaced. I then removed my hood film to have the hood repainted. So at the moment I don't have any on my truck but I certainly plan to put it on again. Just as a side note, the film didn't do anything to protect agianst the deer......
