2000 4Runner, lift blowing out CV boots, HELP

I have a 3" Old Man E... Lift, blows out CV boots, thinking of doing split boots.......Should I get a body lift to level out the stress. Thanks

Look up differential drop, you need one.

Yep, if you don't have a diff drop you should really get one! A body lift does nothing to help your cv's dude

Ya......the diff drops aren't expensive and they are easy to install. Install the diff drop, then replace your boots, you'll be set.

Sorta negates some of the benefits of the original lift now doesn't it

Diff drop it, and if needed upgrade to all-pro offroads "long travel CV boots", the boots dont tear as quickly. On the actuall CV axles themselves though a diff drop is almost mandatory. it will return the articulation angles to what they are suppost to be, that way your CV axles dont think that your tires are flexing all the time you drive

Yep, a front differentail drop kit will help take the angle off the CVs and make them and the boots last longer:

A body lift would not help with the CV joint angles unless you were to lower your suspension lift by an equal amount to the body lift.
