1980 tranny issues

Hey guys I am stumped as to what is wrong with my truck when I got it the tranny was bad so I got a used one from a friend and installed it along with a new clutch throwout and pilot bearins. But it still sounds horrible. When I put the tcase in nuetral and go through the gears it gets louder and louder. And while driving it gets progressivly louder with more speed. So I know that the tranny is good because the truck it was in drove fine. And now I am at a loss. Any ideas what it may be? Thanks

Engine? T-case input shaft bearings? They would still spin when it's in nuetral, right? Since it goes right into the tranny?

Ok I think you guys called it I talked to a few friends of mine and they all seem to think that it is the tcase input bearing. So do you guys know of a good source to get that bearing?

Hmm..probably Toyota. I'd say Marlin Crawler but as far as I can tell they only sell full rebuild kits (I'm looking at replacing my output shaft bearing here pretty quick so I've been looking). That's assuming that you care about putting good quality bearings in there.
