I recently bought a 93 Toyota 4x4 shortbox reg cab pickup pretty cheap. I want to make this truck be able to go offroading and still be an everyday driver. I was wondering what would be the best modifications I could do to this truck without spending too much money.

Best thing you can do before you spend ANY money is LEARN. Google Toyota truck pictures and look at a million of them and find out what you want. Read as many threads here and other forums to see what you want. Give yourself as much knowledge as you possibly can because that will reward you with value much greater than that spent on tires or lifts..

Once you've done this, then go out into the 4x4ing world and drive your truck the was she is. If you don't have enough grip, get some MT's. If you don't have enough clearance, get some taller MT's. Need more? Small suspension lift. Need grip for complicated angles? Lockers. Tires too big making the engine too slow? Different gears.

If you do your research properly, these questions will be answered easily. If you don't, you may throw unnecessary money at unnecessary fixes to misdiagnosed problems.

best answer research research research. I think you should find people who go out a lot as well and start figuring out what you want the truck to be able to do because there is no point spending money on things you will never really use.
