i took apart my dash to get to the lights behind the gauges.

taking it apart and putting it back together was easy but think i realized i put

something in wrong because it didnt turn the gauge lights on right away and now sounds like this ...

if this video doesn't work its making a clacking sound and goes faster with the acceleration would something i plugged in wrong or bulb put in wrong make it start the clacking sound IDK...

Or just disrespectful of the rules...

Again, Check your speedo cable that its plugged in all the way, or you may just need a new one...

Speedo cable.. Make sure its plugged in all the way, shoot some grease into it. If it goes away (temp fix) then buy a new cable.

I had to get a new cable for my 85. The heat of the Exhaust Manifold cooked the housing around it, allowing it to contact the wires within the housing material and making a really nasty Grinding/rubbing sound. But is sounds like you just didn't get the speedo cable plugged back in all the way.
A way to test that without taking the entire dash apart again would be: Disconnect the speedo cable from the tranny and drive it. If the noise goes away, then you've probably found the issue. : )

Good Luck!
