Won't Start

Ok about a month ago I went to goto work and my truck wouldn't start right away, I turned the key and it made a clicking sound, I did this 3 times and it started. Ever sense then it has done it at least 3-5 times a week. So earlier today I hop in the truck and go to see a friend and it wouldn't start, It still does the clicking sound but it won't start, Sometimes it will turn the motor over afew times(Sounds really weak when it does it).

Does any have a clue what is wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Well if its attempting to crank the engine over I would check the battery. But first, I would clean ALL the connections. Positive, Negative, Big Lug on starter.

Top bettery off with distilled water. Charge. If that doesn't work try a battery you know works. Then you may have to replace the cable.

If it just clicks and doesn't try to crank sometimes, its a sure bet your starter contacts are on there way out. Its like a $4 job, takes about an hour. Well worth it. 4Crawler has a write-up on his site.

But it sounds to me like a weak battery or a bad connection.

Probably your starter contacts going bad, pull out your starter and you can replace them.

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure the battery is good (I just put a new one in).
I'll go and check the cables/contacts.
I kinda had an idea what could be wrong with it I just wanted some other opinions.

Thanks again!
