Why no support for '95 Tacos?

This may seem like a stupid question, but here goes. Why do most aftermarket manufacturers create parts for '96 up and not for '95 as well? I'm getting tired of looking at all the goodies I could almost put on my truck. Am I missing something here, like parts for '95 trucks work with '95 Tacos? For instance, bumpers are made for later Tacos, nothing for 95s. Total Chaos makes suspension for 96 and up Tacos. I know there are others, but it'll will just make me upset to list them all.

isn't the 95 tacomas actually a 95.5 making it basically a 96?

I would assume the 1995.5 tacoma is the same suspension as the 1996.

All I know is that I've asked about a few items and found that they won't fit the 95. Luckily, OME states that their suspension works on 95s. Also, Budbuilt skids work.

The problem is that the 95 seems to have been introduced before Toyota finalized its plans for the Taco. It is very similar to the truck and the 96, but there are enough differences to make it annoying.

95 is when it changed over... You have the 95 pickup and the 95.5 tacoma. With a huge difference in just about everything changing. I would bet anything listed for a 96 Tacoma will fit a 95.5 Tacoma but I can promise it won't a 95 pickup. Chances are they are listing as it fitting a 95 Tacoma to avoid confusion

There is nothing different between a 1995.5 Tacoma and a 96.
Some manufactures fail to see the 95/95.5 pre taco/ taco split and thus list parts for either a 95pre taco or a 96.
Need parts for a 95.5 Tacoma and a site only lists 96? Click 96. They're the same thing.

Besides, what specifically are you worried about that won't fit?
4Xinnovations and allpro offroad both make bumpers for tacomas.

Not that I am going to switch out the suspension I just put in, but I was curious about the Total Chaos long arm kit for the future. Also, Trail Gear lists bumpers for pickups and 4runners (which I believe would fit. but not the 95.5). I know I've seen a lot more looking through the magazines, but those are the two I was really interested in.

I guess I'll just look at the 96 parts if you're sure they will work.

Again. Your 95.5 Tacoma is the same thing as a 96.

Another thing that makes the year split weird in aftermarket parts manufacturers is the fact that the 4runner didn't change over until 96.

This Total Chaos kit will fit your truck.

As for a bumper.. Well TG is building a Tacoma right now, and says they'll have a Tacoma front bumper in production sooner or later.
Though, I'm not a fan of em.

I run the 4Xinnovations bumper and LOVE it

The ALLPRO bumper is another good option.

I was looking at those bumpers. I'd do a rear first. I think the 4xinnovations looks the best, so I might just start saving up for that. Thanks for the links.

just so some it up am I right in saying there is no such thing as a 95 tacoma only 95 pickup.

a 95 tacoma is a 95.5 tacoma which is actually a 96 tacoma
