Wheel lock up and bind in reverse if in 4X4 cut in
1988 22 RE pickup ...4wheel ....HIGH range .......hubs in lock. pulled in and parked THIS WAS after going about 45 mph for 10 Min... Came out and put it in reverse and back out turning the wheels to back out....After 5 feet front wheels seemed to bind stopping the truck in reverse..I got out and freed the hubs...left it in 4X4 4High and went froward with no problem..Did not think to try reverse first...ANY ideas?... I wanted to ask before trying to repeat the problem Charlie

What do you know about the truck? Is it recently new to you? Sounds like the diff could be Lincoln Locked up front. Will it bind in 2WD with the front hubs locked?
Also, I try to avoid driving on paved surfaces in lock 4WD

I know little of what this truck has..I got it to pull a camper up some rough roads to a summer spot in the mountains,,,...No problem with it and I am in low range 4X4 for about 1/4 mile the whole trip.....What do I need to know about it? Study What?...I just have the info printed on the dash about getting into and out of 4X4...Charlie

What you encountered is normal torque bind from what you said.
