What could cause my high oil pressure?
After doing my main and rod bearings in a 93 3.0liter.when started up my oil pressure was extremly high and before my oil pressure was 4psi to maybe 20psi Now it gos right up to 75+psi and after ran for about five min noticed i had oil leaking from up top behind timing belt cover.I didnt do anything with the oil pump but cleaned off old gasket and put new gasket sealer from toyota on and torqued the bolts to spec.Any info would be helpfull Thanks

Welcome! Could it be something as simple as you over-filled it? I know in my work truck (non-Toyota) if I over fill it the guage reads high - but within a couple days it's back down where it should be - it used a quart every two weeks like clockwork.

I installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge, so I know what the numbers are. When using 10w30 it ran about 80-85 pounds cold, but when warm runs just under 40 while cruising. Now that I changed the oil, even tho it is 5w30, it runs 90+ when cold, but when warm all is good. Is this normal, or do we both have problems?
