Driveshaft flange removal?

Driveshaft flange removal?
Does anyone know an easy wat to remove the flanges from the front 3rd member and the transfer case without using an impact? I need to put a different bolt pattern flange on and count the rotations when taking the old flange off. I don't know what to use to pull the indented portion of the nut out and what should I use to hold the flanges still while I remove them.Thanks.

Well... I'll assume you have the axle pulled or the 3rd pulled, otherwise your wheels would be holding fast and allow you just to use a standard socket with a long breaker.
Those nuts are staked and can be hard to undo. By the way, you'll need to get new nuts so you can stake them once the new flanges are on. Toyota has a couple different sizes of these depending on year/ model, so you might want to bring your old one into the dealer for a match.
I built this for when the 3rd's are loose:
Could probably do something similiar with a 2x4 or 2x6. Just run some bolts through that match the flange pattern and drill a large hole in the center for the pinion nut.
