What to buy?

I'm looking to buy a hunting/play truck and i've got my mind set on a Toyota. I wanted something with a solid front axle and halfway decent on gas. I thought about an older chevy for a while but i can't have a gas guzzling V8. I want to get the extra cab yota and atleast a 80-85 model. Do those years offer the extra cab?? I'm up for any info you want to throw my way.

sr5 is a little nicer, but you will probably have a hard time finding one. the v6 did not come out till 88. the extra cab i believe came out in 84. I know that there are some 85's that are extra cab. All came with straight axle up to 85.

I found one in the local bargain trader for 2400. 84 Toyota extra cab 5 spd. Toolbox, bedliner, chrome wheels. It looks to be in great condition. If it doesn't have an extreme amount of miles on it i may go take a look at it. It does look purdy.

If you want a yota with a solid front axle you can look for a 79-83 toyota pick-up 22r(carbed) or a 84-85 toyota pick-up, reg cab or extra cab, 22r(carbed) or 22re(fuel injected) and or a 84-85 toyota 4runner 22r(carbed) or 22re(fuel injected) <all 4cyl with toyotas tought reliablity......SR5 is a sport package usually coming with power windows and locks. Cruise control, chrome bumpers and other bells and whistles..... if you want a v6 your going to have to find a 4runner or truck of 1988 or later.... with independant front suspension...... IFS was put standard on all toyotas in 86....

I don't want a V6.. I don't care if its fancy so an SR5 isn't any more tempting to buy than a regular one. Yall think if i offered him 2000 for it, itd be a good deal?
