Which way to turn distributor to adjust timing?

I don't know. I can tell you that if you crank the engine a bit with the dist cap off, you can see which direction the rotor turns.
If you move the dist. in that same direction, you will retard the timing. If you move the dist. against the rotor rotation, you will advance the timing.
This holds true for all engines, and makers.
