valve spring

i'm changing valve springs but dont want to remove the head. my plan is to remove the rocker assembly then reinstall the head studs with spacers so i can rotate the crank without breaking the head seal. change the springs and reassemble. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks eric

Bad idea.
Once you loosen the head bolts you break the head seal.

Do it once, do it right.

if your changing valve springs you have to put something in the cyl to hold up the valves which means either 1 compressed air or rope. Both of which will break the seal. Even changing just a cam on these 22r's is risky without doing the headgasket.
