Trailering
Already searched. Let's say I drive 200 mi to the trail and I break something and want to flat bed trailer it home. I can probably find a rental trailer but I have no tow vehicle. What then?

Uhaul won't even rent me a trailer to pull my truck and I have a F250 Diesel and I am a truck driver with 2 million safe miles under my belt.
I can rent one of there junk box trucks to tow it though. I have AAA as a back up with a 200 mile tow plan.

When you say junk box truck do you mean U-Haul? I think finding a tow vehicle to rent is the problem. We used to rent a trailer to haul the race car back in the early 90's (OMG that was 20 years ago), but with out a tow vehicle I better figure on fixing the truck to get home. AAA upgrade sounds like a good suggestion.

Yea Those Uhaul trucks with a moving box on the back. AAA is good as long as your not way off the beaten path if thats the case just get someone to hook you up to the tow strap and drag it as close to the road as you can. Had a guy in a Jeep do this for me last year.
I just figure I could pay AAA every year rather than buy my own trailer and maintain it.
