Thoughts on 3.4 vs 4.0 (the real one this time)

Looking at buying a newer Taco in the not-so distant future, and the motor seems to be the controling factor as to which one I'm going to buy. I like all of the newer Tacoma's, but I want one I will be happy with for a long time (ie 20+ years). So, what are the pros & cons of each motor?

The Tundra is too big. Want to keep it as a Taco. Is the 4.0 as reliable as the 3.4?

So far I just ticked past 60k with no problems, not a lot I know but, it will be hard to find anyone with 120k, 150k since these motors are pretty new as they came out in '03 in the 4Runners. The plus-Much better power with, in my case, better MPG than my 3.4, easier to do maintanace on.
The minus-has yet to be determined, and for some, that's a big one.
