nope... nobody told you why it wouldnt work... your right.

yes BJ spacers will work on automatics..... how does the transmission affect if a chuck of metal will fit between the UCA and balljoint? you may be confused with a body lift which requires more work with an auto, but is still possible.

What happened to the helpful people around here? all i get is attitude now for asking for info.... you right we're all just a bunch of a'holes try asking over on www.pirate4x4.com/forum they are much more understanding for these kind of questions.

Your top 2 quotes from mic and eight i replied to and asked "Are you absolutely positive?". I wasn't arguing, it was a serious question because the mechanic seemed pretty sure it would work.

The replies from DC and you were both as insults because i asked them if they were sure so how can i consider your posts to be true when they didn't even exist throughout this?

I then said "Maybe I should just let them order it and see what happens." because I know for a fact i'm not going to pay them any money to put on a lift kit when they as mechanics couldn't figure out that it wasn't going to work. It was in no way meant as sarcasm or argumentative. I meant it would be a loss to their company and if anything happens to my truck or me, they WILL pay for damages.

..Been through that before and got a free transmission for my old buick.

Thanks for the info anyways tofer, although i wasn't happy with how it was delivered, still got the point across. I plan to buy some bj spacers tomorrow. I think my rear coils are pretty shot anyways so i'm leaning towards landcruiser coils instead of the suggested coil spacers (on 4crawler).

What year landcruiser? or does that matter? .. probably a repeat question so i'll search on it.

SEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4Crawler is a good guy to work with, I've bought a bunch of his parts.

But if you think your coils are shot, then search around and figure out what LC coils you need. That sounds wise. SOOOOO many other people have done this mod, there are even "Sticky" threads about what parts with what years. Just poke around.

lol, thanks. i've been poking around for the last week now. Finally starting to get all the answers i'm looking for. If this forum wasn't so big it'd be easier not having to sift through the random posts.

Sheesh talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Where did I make any reference to brand name parts? I merely said i wouldn't trust a shop to build custom coils that doesn't even know suspension differences. Whats so hard about that?

You were told, and explained why they are different, and yet you continue to argue? I mean...really? You're right, there isn't much tech....for YOU because you don't listen to what we tell you. Go over to Pirate and have this same conversation. I'd pay to see that one unfold.

I wish there was a palm to forehead smiley for DC's post... and yeah i seen the link and your little "inside joke" isn't so inside.. i've been to their forum before just not in the last 6+ months and had absolutely no problem with anyone there. Their discussion just doesn't interest me.

Yea, a palm to the forehead would be appropriate for the things you have posted in this thread

After this thread i called and cancelled the order and instead ordered the BJ spacers and coil spacers from 4crawler like you recommended. Cheaper anyways so it worked out.

Went coil spacers so i don't have to struggle explaining in the future what coils i need to a shop employee when it comes time to replace them.

<<You can see the progress in my avatar.

Hey Hostile, I understand that you want to make sure that you get the right info but when you post a question on here and get an answer, it is safe to assume that the poster is positive. Even more so, when 4+ people tell you the same thing! Just because someone works at a 4wheel place doesn't mean the know everything. Good luck!
