Suspension Combo Question
Hey! I'm new here, and look forward to talkin with you guys!!
I have a question, I'm getting a 3" Revtek Lift and a 2" body lift put on my 97 4Runner next week. I'm wondering what I should do in the way of shocks/coils? will Tundra springs work with this setup?
Also, does anyone have a similar setup here? I'm sure someone does, if so, what are the biggest size tires I can squeeze under there? I have to get goin and buy some new tires asap.
Thanks!

Check the third gen forum. The spacers work with your existing springs and shocks in the front, so you won't need anything there. What are you doing for the rear?
You should be able to fit 33x12.50 no problem. Maybe 35's, but that's where you start hitting the limits of the IFS. Lots of people run them without problems, but some people do.
If you have the 2.7L you'll want to regear. Will probably be OK with the 3.4L

Yeah I have the 2.7L unfortunately! So I was planning on regearing. I was talking to the guys at National 4WD and they said it would need to be regeared for sure. I'm expecting a pretty substantial power loss.

So did you use your stock coils/shocks with the revtek lift? Also, how much alteration to the steering shaft/driveshaft etc. did you have to do with that 3" body lift? I was thinking about doing the 3" instead of the two inch, but if theres too much modification needed then I'll just do the 2".

Driveshafts are not affected at all by a body lift.
