Yes, its a good mod for a mostly stock engine. You will notice better throttle response and a little more power going up hills. It would also help if you added a header and exhaust.

i did search to find the part numbers and stuff but most of the people that i seen on the threads with this swap had more aftermarket mods and such on there motors dont get me wrong i plan to do a header and exhuast when wallet allows but i dont think im ever gunna put a hotter cam in my motor or port and pollish i think ill go diesel before that on that note what is a good cheap header? ive heard lc engineering is good and what do these motors react to better 4 to 1 or tri y's

It wasn't that I was wondering if it would work well with a mostly stock truck

Ok, MINE IS A STOCK MOTOR!!

I have 197k on the ticker. I added an LCE header almost a year later. Plug and play, and noticed better throttle response and held speeds going up hills better. Its not a magical makeover for the 22re, but for the 50 bucks everything cost me, it was worth it.

I looked into a tri Y header, but went with a 4 - 1. works fine.

Yes but high dollar ,you can find as good a header for cheaper right now I keep hearing good stuff about the OBX on ebay might be worth checking into before dropping all that money on LCE. I have there Pro Street Head and if I had done a little looking around I would have done a engnbldr head same set up for half the price just sayin look before you leap

Love my LCE 4-1 Cali header.(Few pages in on my build thread in sig, whole exhaust system, pics, etc.) I know they're not cheap, but for just the header with studs and gasket..... 199$ Is that really that bad? 300$ for the whole kit with pipe to CAT and O2 Flange and wiring kit, etc. EASY install... just a lil haggling with the bracket and a heat shield coming off.. nothing major. I got the full kit, as you'll see if you look into it.

Still looking for an 82 Supra AFM....... someone is snatching them all up from under me! GRRR, lol. Jk... Doing suspension first.

Happy Hunting, Dirtfloorfab,

Mark

Thanks, Dirtfloor! Yeah, I found one, locally, it's listed as 82-85 Supra, then the number, and it seems to be the same number that I remember for all of those.

Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out ball joints, lol.............it's a long list, seemingly never ending! hahaha.
