squeeling turning
I have a 95 3.0 with an sas that i just finished swapping an engine into. I know this is going to sound like a dumb question but really dont have the time right now to figure out the problem. Every time i turn the steering wheel all the way over (or if its up against something and takes strength to turn or watever) it starts to squeel, like its coming from the fan belt, and won't turn further. What do you think it is? power steering pump works alright and flows well.... ideas??

Once you turn to full lock, you are creating a stoppage force on the steering gear. Normal systems do the exact same thing. You will hear a strain on the engine, and a whirring sound. If you belt is old or worn, it will squeal due to the added force necessary to turn it, at which point it is just slipping.
