so my runner is leaking coolant everywhere

so my runner is leaking coolant everywhere and i took off what i THOUGHT was the thermostat housing to find that there was no thermostat and then i found out that it is actually off the lower hose, so heres my question, what is the housing looking thing called in the front middle of the engine (3.0) that the upper radiator hose connects to? mine is corroded very badly and need new gasket but can be cleaned up, thanks

its metal, it goes right through the idler pulley, the half that connects to the hose has a groove for a rubber gasket, there was black silicone there before but looked very sloppy and wrong, there must be a gasket for this part

yea, there should be just a tight clamp that holds sqeezes the hose around the metal of the tube. you should probably clean off all of that sillicone and just get one of those metal clamps that has a screw piece to tighten it.
