Question slave/master leak

new to board searched could not find help. replaced slave cylander due to leak and spongy clutch. when i took mounting bolts off i noticed they had 2 dif size heads one was 11 mm other was 12mm if im not mistaken didnt think much of it when i applied the new part the front bolt would not tightin i could pull the bolt right out they came out just fine though and it threaded out so i put the other bolt in it felt snug but wouldnt tightin but the ther hole tightined just fine. so i said screw it(lots of other problems to atack still) and bled it only to see leakage again but seems to be going through the bolt hole idk how though. i filled master and drove it to work anyway(little spin around a icy hill testing everything out ran great felt good) checked after work and i was down some dot3 so i know no it is leaking some where but the bolt should caus this is it from above maybe the rubber line and connections look dry i cant seem to find anywhere else it could be coming from can i ptf(pipe dope) the connction as a get me to spring fix(mn winter most snow weve gotten in a long time no garage cold)
sry bout the format and spelling also its a 22re 91 single cab pretty much all original shop did new clutch and flywheel like 4yrs back and i didnt have the money to do slave on top of that.

If i remember right the bolts that mount the slave cylinder to the fire wall are both 12mm. Can you explain better where its leaking from ?.

Holy crap that gives me a headache trying to decipher it.

Different size heads on bolts don't matter jack squat. It is the threads that count!

The bolts on the slave just mount it and keep it static so the plunger can move.

Leakage again? Where is it leaking fluid?

I don`t know but my head hurts also.

M12 bolts for a clutch slave cylinder. That must be one huge cylinder.

The ones on all my yota`s are M8x1.25

If it is to cold to fix just carry brake fluid and keep it topped off.

In the mean time you might be able to find just where the leak is coming from:jessica:

Go after the slave/master with some carb cleaner. Clean it really good, wipe all excess dirt/gunk off. Have some one watch the slave/master as you pump the clutch, look for wet spots.

The slave cylinder has what 2 outlets? The bleeder valve and the incoming port. Take a wrench and re-tighten everything. Did you bleed it before you installed it?
