Thats what I'm talking about. I think I have seen the build of this, if not that rear bumper look familiar. You have a body lift on there right? You trimmed the rear lower panels? That front bumper is nice, I would like to have the winch a little lower and more out of sight, then with a stinger.

yea thats me. the reason for the winch being so high and tucked up close like that is becouse of the type of wheeling around here. washouts that are shaped like this \/.

plus as a bonus, when i get stuck in a mud hole i don't have to fish around under the water for my winch

Yeah i was gonna taper it like the other guy there but i ran out of acetylene. It works either way but i really love the tapered look. It's gonna get some shackle mounts soon too

Yeah I like the tapered look myself, a few angles makes it look cleaner and more professional.

since im going to be building my front and rear bumpers as soon as my truck gets up and running again..i want some ideas like TrustyRusty's..how his rear bumper totalled a honda civic..see..theres LOTS of tailgating that goes on in my town..and im not afraid to brake check em..and i want a bumper that will withstand that kind of impact...

as for a front bumper...theres TONS of deer around here..so it will have to withstand hitting that at say...75mph..

i just want some front/rear bumper ideas that are MAD STRONG!..like which is strong..plate? tubing?..how bout tubing with plate over it?..(DAMN HEAVY)

my front bumper will be like Crolison's..mostly tube with a little bit of plating..since the welders at my school are just ok..i might mock it up..tack weld it..then take it to some pros to have them fully tig weld it...

anyways...any ideas are helpful..

I bought it like that. I moded it a bit. Its a Smittybuilt bumper then I cutout the bottom bar so the winch and winch plate could fit in there. And drilled some holes for the lights. I have some more pics I can send ya if you like.

Here is my rear. It dosent get any simpler than this. 2x3x1/4wall welded to the rear frame rails and capped off the ends. Add beefy tow hook and go! I think I paid a total of 60$ for material.

It clearly does not protect my tail lights! Haha

Remember to test your bumper after you make it to make sure its strong. To test this one, we strapped my truck to a tree and I tried to drive away in 4low about 5 times, acting as if i was trying to get out a stuck rig. Well, it held, so now I can pull with confidence.
