Sequoia In Dash Nav Question

Sequoia In Dash Nav Question
I was just given a 2007 Sequoia by my dad. I have an 03 4Runner. Mine does not have Nav. I have heard that the in dash nav is really hard to operate. How much does it cost to update the maps and does the dealer do this? Should I use the in dash nav or just stick with my Garmin I have for the 4Runner?
