Question Sagging rear

Hey guys!Quick question.I have a 94 toyota pick-up with 8" lift. The rear of the truck sags about 2".I had an 87 4runner that did the same thing.Weve all seen a 4runner like this.My question is what is the easiest way to fix this?New springs, add a leaf?

8 inch lift? how much is body? I'd say get new springs, do it the right way. Stay away from blocks at all costs. This is personal preference, in my opinion blocks are trouble.

Do this first, you are back on 35's, ditch the bodylift, then order some good quality springs.

The easiest way to "true up" sagging leaf springs is a longer shackle. To correct 2" of sag, you need a shackle 4" longer than what you have now.

I'll let the comments about that amount of lift and 15x10 wheels go since this is the newbie section....

Basically, there isn't a tire out there that you need 8" of lift for, and 15x10 make tire fitment issues dramatically worse and limit your ability to air down effectively.

In other words, it's all wasted money from a functional standpoint.

This is true. almost. he may need that. What if this is a bogging truck? what if its a show queen? at the same time, 35's or 37's do not require that much lift, now if he said he just bought new 54 inch boggers, then yes, it would be needed. That leaves one option, show truck. What if it is a show truck? I should have started off by asking what the truck is used for. But yeah, TC is right, that is a little much lift, i have just a 3 inch, and let me tell you, I love it! truck goes everywhere I want it to. IMO, lose the BL, go all spring, maybe sas in the future? Just stick with the bracket lift on it and see how you like it without the BL. Just a thought.

Note the use of the words "effectively" and "functional". If the OP wants a tall truck with wide wheels for the sake of having a tall truck with wide wheels, more power to 'em... buuuutttttt if they want something to beat on offroad, there are better solutions.

Yeah,it's too tall now.My plans r 2 take off the body lift & replace the old leaf springs with new ones.Without the BL the height ought 2 be about right & the new springs ought 2 fix the sagging problems.Looking at my springs now they're flattened out right above axle,so I know they're worn out. About being a show truck or mud bogger,no. It has new paint with no scratches or dings & looks awesome but I do want the functionability which why I just got new wheels & tires. I was running 37" tires on 15x14 wheels. It blew hubs about every 3000 miles so I went with 35's on 15x10 wheels, but yeah u guys r right I have 2 ditch the bodylift. Thanks 4 ur replies!
