was the arm an oem one? I have the original arm, and refills from the dealer are only a couple bucks and very easy to swap out.

Maybe you have an aftermarket arm trying to put an oem refill on it? not sure. If its not oem, try and track one down from a yard and go get a stealership refill, if you already got pissed and tossed the other one.

i attached a photo to show you what it looks like. not sure if its oem. but it looks like i can screw off the wiper blade but i cant seem to find a replacement that i can screw on. most of the refills they sell at the auto parts come with that clamp that grabs the pin on the arm. oh and the pin on mine looks permanent.

Do yourself a favor and just go to the dealer. YOu will get the right part the first time, and wipers cost the exact same at Toyota as they do at Napa/Autozone/etc

And i have to say, i like the simplicity of screws for the wipers, but i was a pain in the ass on the front wipers! Broke one of the screws, so a ziptie has worked for over a year now

your pic looks just like mine, but I can't tell if it had the toyota "TEQ" stamped on it. Mine does. But mine is also a 1st gen. Who knows. Sounds like you got it figured out.
