rear diff. gear oil

Well i just installed my new lockright locker in the rear end of my 99 taco and its time to fill her up with some lube. Im in Canada and we can have some -30 C days in the winter and +30C days in the summer. Im just wondering what the best weight of gear oil is for these conditions (80W 90?).

Thanks, im am also aware of the noobiness of this question (and i have searched)

I use Mobil 1 75W90 for my front and rear diffs and transfer case. We get the same weather/temperatures that you do.

Just make sure it is a GL-5 gear oil:

I'm just saying.................
Any reason you don't want to use syn? You already buy the 80w90 dino oil.

I like it mostly for the longer change intervals.

With dino I'd go once a year
with syn I'd go once every two years..............
But I'm maybe a little OCD about it, I don't know what the actual change interval is.

My buddy had 65,000 miles on some Redline syn in his rear diff, took out the 3rd to install an ARB and it was like brand new inside.
This is without cleaning it up......still had factory paint marks on it.

ok cool, i think i will just use the 80W 90 dino oil that i have and maybe switch to synthetic after that. I just wanted to make sure that the 80w 90 isn't going to be too thin or thick for my application/climate.
