Oh trust me. Put a locker in an IFS truck and the world WILL stop spinning. I've seen it happen with my own two eyes.
We didn't even get the truck out of the drive way and birds were falling from the sky, cars were crashing at the intersection in front of my friends place, and all we heard were tons of sirens everywhere...

No seriously. Aside from the 5.29 gears I have in my junk the front locker was one of the best upgrades I've done. Don't regret it at all.

488s in a manual up to 33 should work. Hell, I have the stock 430s on an auto with 33s. My tranny is probably getting destroyed, and I have no power whatsoever, but that's a project for the future.

However, the other thing to consider is what tire will fit width wise as well as height wise. You can certainly get away with 32s, but 33 12.50 will give you some trouble. Then there is the option of 33 9.50, but you have to decide if that's a wide enough stance....

In the end, you should just throw in 488s, that ARB, and slap on some 32s. Then just go out and wheel the thing. It'll work fine, be cheaper than worrying about which locker for the front, and you'll have more fun on the trails. Besides, you always want to leave something that needs to be done.
