Question on lift for IFS pickup

I have an 88 Toyota Xtra Cab and wanted to do something cooler than a body lift. What would be a cheap way to lift it otherwise?

I've heard of lifts for IFS trucks consisting of longer rear shackles and ball joint spacers, and I'm also considering the classic 63" chevy rear leaf swap. I can't afford a nice suspension lift kit, and I want my truck to sit healthy with 32x11.50 tires and flex decent too.

my understanding is you would clear 32x11.50s without any mods, or with very minor trimming in odd circumstances. there are numerous "can it fit" threads that you may find helpful. hit the search button and see what you can find.

I think your pretty set w/ the spacers and 63s you can even buy a kit from roadless gear.

I'm not concerned with fitting the biggest possible tires, I just want a lift that isn't too insane that will make my truck sit nicely (not too tall or short) with the tires (32) I have on it now.

'88 should fit 32's just fine with no lift.

I second BJ spacers and 63chevies for you. That would be ideal. you could proabably go up to 33x10.50s if you wanted with that. Plenty of clearance for the tires to stuff, and a good look, Not to mention, cheap.

Yep. I ran 32x10.50 Swampers, which are almost the same as a BFG 33x10.50. I had BJ spacers and a lift shackle. If you go this route, make sure to get longer shocks front and rear or you won't get any better flex than what you already have.
